Aloha Dearest Family,
I once asked a lady I saw at work how she was doing. She then proceeded to tell
me all about her ailments and sicknesses. I learned about her doctor’s
diagnoses and her surgeries as well as her medications for each ailment. By her
own confession I learned that this woman was sick. After all, she told me so.
Maybe you have had a similar situation happen to you. Maybe you have even been
this woman.
You will find in life, that what you believe in your heart, you will confess.
And what you continually confess you will definitely see in your life.
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he …”(Proverbs 23:7a)
The “heart” is the innermost past of the mind, where believing stems from. And what you really believe in your heart you will confess.
...for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. (Matthew 12:34b)
Furthermore, what you confess, you will manifest in your life. A phrase I learned a long time ago is still true today. “Confession of belief equals receipt of confession."
So if you continually confess that you have sickness, chances are good that you will never get better. If you keep confessing that you are financially poor, you are destined to stay in this condition. You will never be free from your present situation by confessing the problem, but by confessing the solutions that are found in God’s Word. People tend to confess “facts” and “feelings” above God’s Word. But facts and feelings can change (and they do all of the time) - the truths in God’s Word NEVER change. So why not shed the light of God’s Word into your situation.
The entrance of Thy words giveth light ... (Psalms 119:130)Let’s look at a great verse from John.
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. (John 17:17)The word truth means the true heart of the matter, or the reality. God’s Word is reality. So instead of confessing our thoughts and feelings about our situation, the reality of God’s Word trumps them all. The word “sanctify” means to be set apart from all of the rest by something bigger than you.
Instead of confessing “no one loves me”, confess instead “God loves me”. Instead of confessing “I’m worthless”, confess “I am worth everything because Jesus Christ died for me”. Instead of confessing “I am sick”, confess instead “by whose stripes I was healed” or “I am healed by the sacrifice of my Savior”. When Jesus died for our sins, he died for our sickness as well. In III John 2 is says that God wishes above all things that we prosper and be in health. I have read many testimonies where someone was healed when they kept confessing God’s Word rather than the sickness.
Here are some other things we can confess:
-God will never leave me nor forsake me.
-God has given me eternal life.
-God has filled me with His spirit.
-God shall supply all of my needs
-I have been blessed with all spiritual blessings.
-God is my sufficiency.
-Nothing can separate me from the love of God.
-I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ.
-I am a citizen of heaven.
-I am more than a conqueror through Christ.
-Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world (who is the devil).
-There is nothing too hard for God.
There are thousands more, these are just a fraction of the truths of God’s Word we should confess.
Confessing God’s Word is not just a good idea, it is vital to our very lives. Proverbs 18:21 says,
Death and life are in the power of the tongue:..
What we confess can be life to us, or death to us. Let us decide today that we will never again make another negative confession. Victory is ours for the taking. It is all in the power of the tongue. What we believe and confess determines our absolute victory because God Almighty backs His Words. Trust Him!!
Love Always, Ray
