Making the Impossible Possible

Aloha Dearest Family,

Our God is a God of the impossible. When we walk each day with God, no situation is hopeless. Don't believe me? Just read some of the Old Testament records of what can be accomplished with God. Now, some may say, "sure God did that for people in the Old Testament, but He doesn't do this stuff today." I say unto you today, HOGWASH!! God has not changed. He is still the same. Perhaps it is our believing that needs to improve and then we would see the impossible come to pass.

Sometimes because of what we see on TV, or hear on the radio, or see on Youtube or Facebook, we may start to make these influences our reality. If we do this we are seriously limiting God in our lives. For some people, God is small because they have relegated to Him "back of the bus" status. For them, God becomes just one of the many things that they are "into"; like sports, music or video games. Then when something bad happens, they say, "God, where were you?"

One of the ways to prevent this from happening is to learn how to "practice the presence of God". This kind of lifestyle makes ordinary little Christians into super conquerors. So what does it mean to practice the presence of God? Well, as Christians, we know that God is always with us (and in us) wherever we go. If we believe this, why not talk to Him? (He wants to hear from us) Why not pour out our heart before Him and tell Him all of your deepest secrets and greatest heart's desires? If we spend our days walking and talking with our Father, giving Him thanks and praise for all He has done for us, we will become closer to Him in our thinking. In essence, we make God our BFF. We can do this by getting to know Him by studying His Word each day. You will then start to see who He has truly made you to be, and then you will find the real you. The you that you have always wished you could be. And remember that having a conversation with God is not just a one-way street. He will talk back to you — so listen up!

When you start living each day practicing God's presence, you will find that the impossible is now possible! Why? Because God Mighty, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, is your best friend. (Wow!) If your best friend was Bill Gates, I don't think you would have any financial difficulties. As Jesus said, ".. all things are possible with God." (Mark 10:27b) If you read the Gospel of John you will see the close relationship that Jesus Christ had with his Heavenly Father. This was one of the reasons why he had such a powerful ministry. Because He and God were partners.

A wise man once wrote, "Right believing is constantly knowing that God's presence and power are with you, and in you, in any situation." With this kind of thinking, you can never be defeated. When trouble comes, you are already connected to the power source. A light bulb is not worth much unless it plugged into the power source. It is only useful if it is plugged in. Jesus Christ lived everyday with this kind of sweet fellowship with his Father, having total trust in God's ability — that with God nothing was impossible. We now can have this kind of relationship with God that Jesus had.

Having a true, living and vital relationship with God is the true key to seeing the impossible come to pass. Jesus taught his disciples a very important lesson,
"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." (Mark 11:23)
This verse is impossible to bring to pass without having a close relationship with God. The mountain in this verse can refer to any obstacle in our lives that we see as "impossible". With God on our side we can say to our mountain "be removed" and it shall be done, if we have no doubt in our hearts. We can have no doubt because God Almighty is working with us, and in us. Therefore we can have total trust in His ability - not in our own.

The Father can and will guide us in the way that we should go. God can also give us a heads up to trouble and what to do to avoid it. King David learned how to walk with God through his life. Whenever he went out to battle, he always consulted with God first and God was able to lead him to victory. God instructed him in what to do (and what not to do) in order to be victorious in battle. (See II Samuel 5:18-25) Also being on talking terms with God gives us a more dynamic prayer life because we know that our prayers are always heard. And if we know that He hears our prayers then we can be assured that we will have what we have prayed for.
And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." (I John 5:14 and 15)
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." (Mark 11:24)
What kind of mountains do you have in your life? Sickness, disease, persecution, distress, financial problems? God has not changed. What He has done for others He can and will do for you. I have seen and read hundreds of testimonies of everyday believers seeing God's miracles today. Stories of broken bones being healed, deafness being cured, eyesight being restored, terminal cancer being eliminated and even cases of autism being cured. How? These people heard that it was available. They decided that they were going to claim it for themselves and took it. It is definitely possible. Look who our BFF is. NOTHING is too hard for God.
"Behold, l am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27)
Love Always, Ray

Got any rivers you think are uncrossable? Got any mountains you cannot tunnel through?
God specializes in things called impossible and He can do what no other power can do.
